在多年的研究中，先后发表在SCI刊源杂志上发表10多文章，申请国家发明专利5个，研究内容主要涉及利用荧光原位杂交和分子标记方法(如RAPD和AFLP)研究多个野生稻和普通栽培稻、多花黑麦草和普通小麦的远源杂交种的遗传结构；采用RT-PCR策略先后从油菜中克隆了多个抗旱相关基因，如BnBDC1、BnHB6、BnMPK3和BnMKK1，并通过超表达和dsRNA抑制表达分析基因功能；利用各种分子标记和反向遗传学手段鉴定和评价水稻突变体库和自然变异群体，进行挖掘、克隆和功能鉴定抗逆相关基因。
